Training and Capacity Building
TYSA girls Resource Centre offers a unique opportunity for the rural girls to meet, share experience and restore their lives. To date 70 girls have accessed training at the centre while 200 are projected to access it annually once fully equipped. TYSA offers Continuous capacity building in areas of child protection, peer education & reproductive health training, peace building, leadership and management development to its staff, volunteers and community members.
TYSA sports ground offers opportunity for youth to train and sharpen their soccer skills without disruption.
The beneficiaries and other stakeholders receive periodic training in different fields including; leadership, management, Reproductive Health, Soccer Coaching, Planning among others.
There has been a clear growth in the organization. TYSA's visibility has increased attracting various stakeholders within and without Kenya. The UN MDG 2010 award for promoting gender equity and women empowerment is one such achievement in the history of TYSA
Networking and Collaborations is one key focus for us. It enhances knowledge sharing and dissemination. Our delivery of services to our beneficiaries has improved because of skills, experiences and learning's gained from visiting other organizations and others visiting us.
TYSA's activity aired on the K24 television increased the visibility of the organization and demand for our activities has increased widely
Infrastructure development within the organization is critical for an organization growth. The community where TYSA works continually support by offering a playing ground where the beneficiaries enjoy uninterrupted training sessions. TYSA resources Centre and office infrastructure offer ambience for learning.
Computer and internet services at the centre are helping to meet the desired objectives of the organization - technological empowerment of the youth.
